ROOTS FROM ANOTHER CENTURY

Today, Liljedahl Bare Wire consists of three companies; each strong in its own geographical market. This enables us to offer our customers the extra support and capability that comes with being a part of a dynamic global group. This strong and innovative group forms a vital production and sales division for various kinds of bare copper products within the Swedish privately owned Liljedahl Group (www.liljedahlgroup.com).

Our roots date back to the early days of industrialization. In Sweden Count Eric Ruuth established a foundry in central Helsingborg 1799 and In Germany, one hundred years later, Isolation AG - Insulated Wire Factory, was founded in Mannheim. This is the ancestry of Liljedahl Bare Wire
In 1918, electricity was a new commodity, leading to a rapid development of electrical products and the manufacturing of motors and transformers. The industry also focused on the addition of new techniques in the manufacturing of wire rod.

Together with our main customers and suppliers, the different companies in our group have built a strong and consistent reputation for innovation.  We call this the power of permanent improvement.
